Vent? or Shut the Front Door! Course

Description: 
This course takes a new look at ventilation and fire behavior. Using information from Underwriter Laboratories’ scientific studies and trends from case studies of hundreds of fires, you will gain a better understanding of ventilation and how the fire will react.

You will learn why we need to reevaluate our thoughts on ventilation. We will discuss how using this knowledge can give a very accurate size up and it will teach us what to look for while operating interior to make our operations safer. We will also discuss some different tactics that could be deployed to assist in faster and safer knockdowns. The fire should not get worse after the arrival of the fire department.
